Astaro (News - Alert), a provider of Unified Threat Management (UTM) vendor, announced it has entered into a new distribution relationship with specialty distributor Lifeboat Distribution.
The new partnership is created to benefit both Astaro and its partner community, improve business practices and make it easier for the partner community to do business with Astaro.
It will also provide new business opportunities for Lifeboat's network of resellers in the United States and Canada, according to company officials.
Astaro solutions covered by the agreement include the Astaro Security Gateway (News - Alert) (ASG) appliances, Astaro wireless Access Points, Astaro Remote Ethernet Devices (RED) and Astaro's hosted Mail Archiving Service.
“In the past our order administration processes and previous distributor relationships were adequate for our size,” said Bob Darabant, vice president Americas, Astaro, in a statement. “However, Astaro is growing rapidly and it was clear we needed to make investments in our future and our partners' futures so we could continue building on our successes.”
“Part of these investments included creating a relationship with a new distributor, and we chose Lifeboat because their security expertise and distribution assistance will fuel Astaro's continued growth,” Darabant added.
The relationship with Lifeboat Distribution enables Astaro and its partners to improve the order administration process at Astaro to ensure products are consistently available when needed.
Astaro's partner community will be provided with timely and pertinent information about the distribution processes, product information and additional business opportunities. Additionally the partnership will improve customer satisfaction through a fast and convenient shipping and delivery schedule.
The new distribution relationship is also intended to encourage new resellers by promoting the Astaro business proposition to Lifeboat's North American reseller network.
