It is necessary for carrier grade products to feature very high reliability and scalability to provide an uninterrupted flow of the huge volumes of high-bandwidth data and voice that are present in multimedia communications.
According to officials MontaVista Linux Carrier Grade Edition is a widely deployed carrier grade Linux solution in the world and network equipment providers or NEPs like Alcatel-Lucent, Motorola, NEC, and other leading suppliers employ it widely.
