Fredrik Lundberg to Be Next CEO of Tail-f Systems

Fredrik Lundberg, who has held executive positions at Syncron International, Accenture, and HP, will be the new CEO of Tail-f Systems, announced the company recently. Tail-f Systms expects to benefit from Lundberg’s in-depth understanding of the telecom industry, systems integration, and operations systems and software.

“Fredrik brings extensive experience managing fast growing software and services organizations to Tail-f Systems (News - Alert),” said Bart Burstein, Chairman of the Board, Tail-f Systems, in a press release. “His understanding of the telecom industry from the vantage point of a large systems integrator will provide us with a unique perspective and vision as we grow the company with our new NCS product line.”

“I’m excited to join the Tail-f team,” said Lundberg, in a statement. “Tail-f’s ground-breaking products and pioneering role in developing industry standards for configuration management help increase our customers’ competitiveness and contribute to making the Internet work more effectively. My role as CEO will be to help the company capitalize on the fast growing market for advanced network configuration management.”

Lundberg replaces CEO Hakan Millroth (News - Alert), who will return to his role as technology visionary in the position of CTO.

“I am delighted to have Fredrik join Tail-f as we enter this important new phase in the company’s development,” said Millroth, in a statement. “We believe advanced network configuration management based on the NETCONF and YANG standards will have a transformative impact on the telecom industry. We see several parallels to the way the standardization of relational database technology transformed the enterprise software industry. Tail-f Systems’ capability to exploit this opportunity is unmatched in the industry.”

A leading provider of configuration management software for networking equipment and network management systems, Tail-f Systems serves six of the ten largest global networking equipment providers. Users of Tail-f Systems’ technology radically reduce their time-to-market and benefit from carrier-grade implementations of NETCONF, CLI, Web, and SNMP interfaces.
