PacketMotion to Hold Three-Part IT Compliance and Network Security Webinar Series

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

PacketMotion, a provider of User Activity Management (UAM) solutions, has announced an open registration period for a three-part IT compliance and network security webinar series beginning Aug. 24th.

The company held a webinar on Aug. 24 titled, “Virtual Segmentation - Beyond the Firewall,” which explained how virtual segmentation works and why it is both low-risk and operationally efficient.

PacketMotion will also review the results of an ROI study by analyst firm Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert), which showed dramatic costs savings by implementing PacketSentry for internal network segmentation instead of firewalls.

Officials with PacketMotion said that PacketSentry Virtual Segmentation offers a superior approach: no in-line appliances and policies based on Active Directory group membership.

The second webinar in the series, titled, “Monitoring and Controlling IT Admin Activity,” will be held on Sept. 1. It will cover how PacketSentry meets the challenge with a broad range of unique capabilities in a way that is operationally efficient to deploy.

Later on in Sept., the company will hold the third webinar in the series, entitled “Granular Citrix and WTS (News - Alert) User Activity Auditing with PacketSentry”.

As to the subject of this final webinar, company officials said that Citrix XenApp and Windows Terminal Server are great solutions, but they do not provide a granular audit trail of user activity.

This, company officials said, creates a challenge for compliance, audit, and security.

According to company officials, PacketSentry solves this problem by providing a complete identity-correlated record of activity for Citrix/WTS users.

User-centric compliance and policy reporting, security investigations, and application usage monitoring are all available seamlessly with other access methods, all without any extra effort or operational overhead.
