InfoPrint Solutions Announces Plan to Move to the Cloud

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

InfoPrint Solutions, a leading provider of digital output solutions, is joining other businesses and moving to cloud. Today, the company unveiled its plans for the Managed Automated Document Factory (ADF) Services, a fully managed, turnkey production print workflow solution powered by the cloud. Mid-market companies looking for a secure, reliable service that offers a single point of control may have found that answer in Managed ADF, according to company officials.

The service, which is available today for United States customers, is built on InfoPrint ProcessDirector. Without ever having to experience costly overhead expenses and upfront investment, InfoPrint Solutions’ Managed ADF Services will help customers achieve high document integrity and efficiency in their production print environment.

“Mid-market companies today are in a tough spot,” said Enrico Parodi, vice president of software and solutions services worldwide of InfoPrint Solutions. “Compliance violations can be costly and often there are not capital and IT resources available to invest in capabilities not vital to their core business. InfoPrint Solutions’ Managed ADF Services aim to address these pain points and many more, ensuring a high integrity, operationally efficient, lower cost print environment, enabling our customers to focus their resources on what they do best.”

For customers that print highly sensitive and private transactional documents, including statements, bills and explanations of benefits, Managed ADF Services offers a highly-compliant and auditable production print environment. Customers in the field of healthcare, insurance, government, telecommunications and financial, among others, can benefit from this “level of integrity,” according to InfoPrint.

All of these features are available with the Managed ADF Services still keeping the cost of printing and mailing low as the service allows customers to use infrastructure instead of spending money on labor.

As a cloud services offering, InfoPrint ProcessDirector and supporting print-to-mail software will be hosted on remote servers and accessed through a secure network connection. By moving to the cloud, InfoPrint reduces costs associated with labor, maintenance and administration. The Web-based interface can only be accessed by authorized operators using a Web browser inside the network.

“This is the first of many cloud offerings InfoPrint Solutions’ will provide companies seeking ways to reduce their overall print operations spend while still maintaining a high integrity environment,” said Parodi. “We are looking forward to working with our customers to develop the most optimal solution for their operations, leveraging the benefits of the cloud and our long heritage of proven software and services development.”

Mid-market companies who opt to use Managed ADF Services will also reap the benefit of the service’s operational expense (OPEX (News - Alert)) financial model, which works to reduce up-front capital expenditures in favor of utility-based pricing while leveraging a cloud infrastructure to provide a scalable computing environment.
