Cloud Communications Feature
Broadcore's Hosted UC Suite Now Integrates Voicemail Transcription
Broadcore has added a voicemail transcription service to its suite of business class unified communications services. The advanced, fully integrated voicemail transcription service converts voicemail messages into text and delivers the transcription directly to the subscribers email. The service also sends the original audio file to the user’s email as well.
To execute this service, Broadcore (News - Alert) will be utilizing Ditech Networks, a company that is already well-known for its successful voicemail transcription engine. This transciption service is provisioned, managed, and supported directly by Broadcore saving users the time and money related to dealing with third parties to configure or manage the service.
“Whether users are on their mobile device or at the office, our Voicemail Transcription service enables them to immediately see who has called and what was said at a glance,” said Dean Manzoori, Broadcore EVP of marketing strategy. “In addition, the Caller ID of the caller is included in the email subject line, enabling the recipient to archive or quickly retrieve messages and even forward them to others. This productivity multiplier service allows our clients to respond to their customers faster.”
According to a recent release, Broadcore delivers its business class cloud-based voice services from servers housed in highly secure, geographically redundant data centers. These centers contain fault-tolerant servers that are load-balanced from server to server. In the unlikely event that one data center is unavailable, communications traffic is automatically routed to other data centers, ensuring business continuity and minimum disruption to business operations.
Broadcore servers are installed in an N+1 configuration for added reliability and unlimited capacity. The capacity of each server is increased by the interconnection of multiple servers in a stack, through an IP backplane. The multi-stack architecture enables Broadcore to scale capacity to a larger number of users.
"Voicemail Transcription service is an excellent productivity tool for any organization and we are happy to provide this service as part of our standard voicemail service," said Dawn Goodnight, Broadcore product manager. “We include machine based Voicemail Transcription service with our Unified Messaging service at no extra charge while human assisted Voicemail Transcription service is optionally available to those clients who require the highest level of transcription accuracy.”
