TranSwitch to Showcase Communication Processors at the Broadband World Forum Europe

TranSwitch (News - Alert) Corporation, a provider of carrier-class semiconductor solutions, asserted that it will be demonstrating its communication processors at the Broadband World Forum Europe 2010.

TranSwitch will showcase the Atlanta 2000 which is a highly programmable System-on-Chip (SoC), offering robust gateway routing, security and VoIP capabilities with unmatched performance and power efficiency. 

The Atlanta 2000 provides best-in-class performance, at the lowest power and bill-of-materials (BOM) cost, for a range of applications that require IP packet routing, encryption, and media processing at T1 to 2 Gbps data rates. These applications include secure broadband gateways, SSL/TLS and IPSec security appliances, and micro-PBX (News - Alert) products. 

The Atlanta 2000 enables customers to develop the next-generation of high-performance ‘green’ networking products and services for residential, small office / home office (SOHO), and small to medium-sized business (SMB) customer premise equipment (CPE) applications. 

The Atlanta 2000 features a single or dual hardware encryption engines. Some of the other notable features are: Integrated dual RISC cores: 400 MHz Tensilica (News - Alert) Xtensa LX2 with MMU, Integrated VLIW architecture DSP, supporting up to eight channels of deep compression codecs or 16 channels of G.711, Hardware-based classification and dedicated QoS engines for each of three Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, G.168 Echo Cancellation with configurable echo tail, FAX/Modem support, Comprehensive Wireline and Wireless Codec support, and Adaptive and configurable jitter buffer. 

The company also stated that it will be demonstrating the Entropia III Compact which is an advanced Voice-over-IP (VoIP) System-on-Chip (SoC) processor, with an integrated, cost effective, on-chip host for voice gateways, Multi-Service Access Network (MSAN), Next Generation Digital Loop Carrier (NG-DLC), voice enabled router, and IP private branch exchange (IP-PBX) systems. The Entropia III Compact device supports 336 voice channels with excellent echo cancellation. 

Experts from TranSwitch will be on-hand to discuss details of their latest product offerings that address the rapidly increasing broadband access, media gateway, enterprise and metro applications at the Company’s exhibit located in Booth B9, at the CNIT La Défense, Paris, France, Oct. 26-28, 2010.
