IPsmarx Out to Attract Service Providers With Hosted PBX Offerings

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Arash Vahidnia, president and CEO of IPsmarx, a provider of feature rich hosted PBX (News - Alert) solutions since 2001, announced a major plan to expand IPsmarx’s base of service providers and customers.

Vahidnia said, “We are offering a Multi Tenant IP PBX platform that has actually been custom built for the needs of the SMB market.”

The IPsmarx (News - Alert) solution is a Class 4 and Class 5 softswitch that includes many conventional CPE PBX features. The new initiative offers unique features that are not standard on any CPE switch, according to Vahidnia.

It has features including call screening and caller ID routing, which enables users to create customized shortcuts so that routine calls that have regular destinations are routed directly to the respective station.

Vahidnia said, “Not only is our platform built with the needs of the SMB user in mind, but we have also created an approach that understands how the telecom and data sales channel works as well.”

The features not only enhance internal employee productivity but also improve the experience of customers and associates. Thus, without adding staff or other costs a small business can offer a large enterprise experience.

A whisper or “trainer” mode is one of the sophisticated features, which would allow an internal party to add themselves to a call and speak to another internal employee without being heard by the offsite calling party.

This mode would be an appealing feature for training, or for certain conference situations where a single presenter might need more input.

The market for telephony services in the small and medium businesses (SMB) sector is growing.

IPsmarx believes that with the low upfront costs and extremely easy installation and start up procedures involved, multi-tenant based services are the place for dealers to find opportunity in this sector.

In June, IPsmarx joined snom's partner program as an Advanced Technology Partner, integrating its multi-tenant based IP-PBX platform into snom’s VoIP portfolio, TMCnet reported.
