Telesphere (News - Alert), a provider of cloud communications services for businesses, has been named to Inc. Magazine's 30th annual 500 / 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

The company was placed No. 965 on the full list of 5000 companies. It ranked No. 33 on the telecommunications list and No. 18 among Phoenix-area companies ranked by Inc., company officials said.

The Inc. 500|5000 list gives the most comprehensive look at America’s independent entrepreneurs, one of the most important segments of the economy, according to Inc officials. Online retailer ideeli tops this year’s list.

The companies recognized in the 2011 Inc. 500|5000 list have reported an impressive 94 percent median growth rate. They have created 350,000 jobs in the past three years. Aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.

Inc. cited Telesphere for growth over the last three years of 315 percent.  Further, Telesphere's 2010 revenue of $21.5 million entitled the company to be ranked as top among providers of cloud communications services, the company claimed.

"We're certainly very pleased to see that our dedication and hard work to grow our business by satisfying our customers' needs for innovative business communications services over the last several years has been noticed by Inc. Magazine," said Telesphere CEO Clark Peterson, in a statement.

"But rankings aside, we're going to stay focused on what we can do to win our customers' loyalty with the best mix of services and support they can buy,” Peterson concluded.

Telesphere delivers an innovative package of Unified Communications (News - Alert), hosted VoIP, Internet connectivity and video conferencing services to businesses throughout the United States.

The company recently announced the Telesphere VideoConnect, a hosted video service that enables any size business to implement videoconferencing quickly and cost-effectively by targeting its Webcam-equipped PCs, room-based video systems, videophones, smartphones, tablets and softphones.
