Cloud Communications Feature
Cloud Communications Provider Telesphere Continues to Promote Speak2Dial
Telesphere’s (News - Alert) success with its latest service Speak2Dial has been so great that the company, dedicated to simplifying cloud communications, has decided to extend its use of Lyrix Inc’s Mobiso Suite, which powers the service.
Speak2Dial allows users to access a company’s directory through voice prompts from their office or cellular phone. Instead of having to memorize someone’s extension or start typing a person’s last name into the phone to find his/her line, Speak2Dial allows users to do all of that by simply using their voice. Telesphere's Speak2Dial is currently available to all Telesphere customers worldwide in a wide range of languages.
By pressing a preprogrammed button on their desk or mobile phone and stating the name of the person they are trying to reach, Speak2Dial users can reach co-workers, friends and family instantly. The service also takes advantage of cloud communications as users do not have to sync their mobile phones and other directories whenever the directory is updated.
“It’s convenient, straightforward and easy to use while on the go,” according to Telesphere. “Not only can you be confident that you are always accessing the company’s most recently updated contact numbers, but you also can protect yourself from the dangers of fumbling with multiple menu options and searching through long contact lists while driving.”
In addition to accessing others and personal voicemail with a single voice command, Speak2Dial users can also create shortcuts. Users can utter phrases such as “Operator,” “IT Helpdesk” or “Technical Support” when using the service to reach company departments without ever having to know a specific party's name.
"Telesphere's Speak2Dial is one of the most useful voice services to be offered to the hosted VoIP market to date, enabling businesses that use Telesphere's fully hosted and customizable VoIP systems to gain a competitive advantage in the ways they service their customers,” said Stewart Hampton, marketing director at Lyrix, in a statement. “This service offering should permit companies to create a ‘numberless enterprise,’ allowing employees to be increasingly mobile and still reachable all while maintaining personal phone number privacy. Even with employee churn, that would negatively impact recognition performance with some SEAA solutions, PeopleFind Day2 Linguistics - available only from Lyrix - ensures continuous speech recognition improvement over time.”Lyrix’s Mobiso Suite provides a range of cloud communications applications including Hosted Speech Assistant, Hosted Phonebook 2.0 and real-time Wireless Expense Management solutions fully integrated into a single multi-tenant based platform.
Telesphere first introduced Speak2Dial in September of 2010, along with its product release FaxMail, a service that allows users to send and receive faxes with any e-mail client.
