Bay Equity Opens New Office in Portland to Support Its Expansion in Pacific Northwest

Bay Equity Home Loans recently announced the inauguration of its new office in Portland, Oregon. Based in San Francisco's Financial District, Bay Equity Home Loans, is the area’s one of the most successful mortgage lending institutions.

The new facility, which has been set up to support the company’s increased focus on its projected expansion in the Pacific Northwest, will be run under the guidance of Philip Mikolaj, director of Information Technology for Bay Equity, the company revealed in a press release.

The Portland office will serve as the hub of Bay Equity's corporate information technology resources. The office will grow as it adds support staff necessary to serve the company's Pacific Northwest operations.

Mikolaj, a long term resident of Portland joined the Bay Equity staff earlier this year. The company is going to benefit from this IT veteran’s vast experience in the in the senior level management.  

In the span of his career, Mikolaj created state-of-the-art IT systems for fast growing mortgage companies and start-ups. He has also been responsible for deploying mortgage banking software systems at more than 100 mortgage banking institutions nationwide.

“Phil Mikolaj has a unique skill set not often found among information technology experts. He's equally talented in the areas of general business management, mortgage, and banking operations, and IT design and application. And on top of that, he's a great communicator,” managing director of Bay Equity Jon McGovern noted in a statement.

“We are committed to growing our brand in the Pacific Northwest and this is a great step towards supporting our customers from an IT perspective. Additionally, this location will then develop into a new operations center for our company. Bay Equity is putting tremendous resources towards IT applications that will continue to ensure we are well prepared for further growth,” president of Bay Equity Brett McGovern commented in a statement.
