nGenius Integrated Agent Announced for HP

NetScout Systems, a dealer in unified service delivery management, claimed that they have unveiled the nGenius Integrated Agent for HP, extending their unified service delivery management capabilities out to the network edge.

The nGenius Integrated Agent software is self-contained virtualized probe software integrated and deployed within a third-party network device. Optimized for deployment at the branch office and the network edge, the nGenius Integrated Agent feeds valuable performance metrics into the nGenius Service Delivery Manager or the nGenius Performance Manager and dramatically reduces costs associated with monitoring at the branch and network edge by leveraging an existing third-party network platform as an intelligent instrumentation point.

The nGenius Integrated Agent for HP, self-contained virtualized probe software has been integrated and deployed within an HP E8200 or E5400 Switch Series to cost-effectively extend granular packet-flow technology and provide visibility into network and application performance at the network edge.

NetScout (News - Alert) commented that it has joined the HP AllianceONE program. As a result of which, nGenius solution now integrates with HP Networking, HP Software Business Technology Optimization (BTO) solutions and the ArcSight (News - Alert) ETRM platform. The new HP AllianceONE partner program provides customers the widest choice of the industry-leading solutions designed for a converged infrastructure.

The nGenius Integrated Agent for HP has been integrated and deployed on an HP AllianceONE Advanced Services zl Module, which provides an open architecture for best-in-class partner integration. The combination is then deployed within an HP E8200 and E5400 switch series chassis to create an intelligent instrumentation point for the nGenius Service Assurance Solution.

The nGenius Integrated Agent for HP enables the IT organization to significantly lower the cost of instrumentation by leveraging existing network equipment to host intelligent data sources, save space by eliminating the need for separate monitoring hardware, and enables consistent service capabilities end-to-end across the enterprise regardless of location.

All data is then collected, analyzed, and stored locally on the HP AllianceONE Advanced Services zl Module and is then leveraged and reported on by the nGenius Service Assurance Solution consoles, including the nGenius Service Delivery Manager and nGenius Performance Manager.

Vice President of Marketing at NetScout, Steven Shalita (News - Alert), stated in a press release that NetScout continues to drive technology innovation and leverage best practice network design architectures to enable pervasive visibility across the enterprise to more effectively assure the end-to-end performance of applications and services.
