By Deepika MalaTo enable enterprises to self-provision Infrastructure-as-a-Service private and hybrid clouds, Jamcracker (News - Alert), the unified cloud services delivery and management company has collaborated with and Eucalyptus Systems, creators of the leading open source private cloud platform.
The IT departments, owing to the integration of the Jamcracker and Eucalyptus platforms are allowed to automate the process of procuring the resources and building infrastructure clouds. At the VMworld 2010 conference, being held this week, Eucalyptus Systems and Jamcracker will be highlighting this new solution.
The organizations, through Jamcracker Platform Enterprise Edition are able to provision and control both public and private cloud services. Meanwhile, the IT departments, via Eucalyptus cloud platform are allowed to set up their own private clouds and move workloads among internal servers, or to and from Amazon Web Services (News - Alert).
A turnkey solution for procuring through Jamcracker all the resources required to implement scalable IaaS-style private and hybrid clouds using the Eucalyptus platform is provided by the integration of both platforms.
