Ringcube Unveils Latest Version of vDesk with Enhanced Capabilities at VMworld 2010

The global provider of workspace virtualization, RingCube (News - Alert) is known for its innovative virtualization solution called vDesk. According to RigCube, its vDesk solution is one step ahead of the legacy virtualization solutions; vDesk helps organizations increase user productivity, lower desktop management and support costs, and eliminate the performance and resource overhead. The Mountain View, California based company has recently announced the latest enhancements to their vDesk solution, including enhancements in security, performance, management and usability that were developed in association with Intel (News - Alert). The announcement was made at this year’s VMworld Conference.

The RingCube vDesk solution leverages the hardware-based virtualization capabilities of Intel Core vPro processors.

The important new capabilities of RingCube vDesk that were announced at VMworld are summarized below:

-Important security enhancements, including pre-authentication host checking, to protect against keystroke loggers; and granular logging for regulation compliance.

-MobileSync performance improvements, including compression of encrypted workspaces and block-level differencing that boosts provisioning and synchronizing by an average of 40 percent to 60 percent.

Management and usability features that allow IT administrators to deploy vDesk across the network faster; as well as higher levels of resiliency with improved architecture; and usability improvements for USB-attached printers.

“These latest capabilities in workspace virtualization, as provided by RingCube vDesk using PCs based on Intel Core vPro processors, are important innovations that meet the demands of our joint customers. The results of our teamwork will be showcased in our exhibit at VMworld this week, where we will demonstrate the latest advances in desktop virtualization that provide greater security, flexibility, and performance for enterprise workers and mobile professionals,” Charlton Barreto Ph.D., Intel technology strategist and platform architect, said.

According to the industry watchers, the collaboration between ringCube and Intel has translated into the most cutting edge workspace virtualization innovation that is designed to provide greater security, flexibility, and performance for enterprise workers and mobile professionals.

So far as the pricing and availability of the enhanced vDesk product is concerned, the price starts at $250 per user and is currently available from RingCube.
