LexisNexis Unveils InterAction 6.0 for Microsoft Outlook

LexisNexis, a provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, says its newly released InterAction 6.0 for Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook will integrate features and functions of InterAction directly into the Microsoft Outlook.

LexisNexis InterAction is the provider of CRM software and services, which enable professional services firms and other relationship-based organizations to create the relationship intelligence they need to uncover new business opportunities. The company has claimed that InterAction is easily accessed anytime, anywhere via an Internet browser or a Windows client, where professionals can view and manage information however they choose — through knowledge management platforms, corporate portals, intranets, extranets, and wireless devices — while retaining control over their personal information and relationships.

By embedding the features and functions of InterAction into the Microsoft Outlook, the company has enabled professionals to view and access firm-wide InterAction content including contact details, mutual connections, upcoming meetings, information updates and personal notes using only Microsoft Outlook. This will only help them make stronger client relationships and further business development efforts as part of their natural workflow.

Brad Sidwell, vice president and general manager of LexisNexis (News - Alert) has commented that by providing access to InterAction resources directly within Outlook, InterAction 6.0 will proactively equip users with information to strengthen their relationships and drive greater participation in CRM efforts across the law firm without requiring users to launch and learn a new application.

Mike Walsh, CEO for LexisNexis U.S. Legal Markets, added that InterAction 6.0 for Microsoft Outlook represents the most recent achievement in our efforts to collaborate more closely with customers to create innovative tools that match the way they work. Both InterAction 6.0 and Lexis for Microsoft Office, which they launched earlier this year, integrate valuable legal content and services from LexisNexis and other resources into the Microsoft Office desktop applications legal professionals use every day.
