As part of TMCnet’s “On the Road” video series, TMC’s CEO Rich Tehrani (News - Alert) interviewed  A10 Networks’ senior director of worldwide marketing Kelly LeBlanc. The two talked about exciting things going on at the company. From new products to winning best product awards, LeBlanc presented an interesting overview of A10, which was founded in 2004 with an objective to make Internet faster and more secure.

Since then, this Silicon Valley based technology company has spread its wings across the world with offices in UK, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. And claims to be a leader in networking and security.

When asked about new products, LeBlanc highlighted the company’s flagship product AX5200, the industry’s fastest application delivery controller with highest energy efficiency for server load balancing. With 64-bit advanced core operating system (ACOS), it accomplishes A10’s mission to be faster, better and greener than any competing solution on the market, claimed LeBlanc. Since its introduction about a year ago, A10 has expanded the AX series with a number of high performance 64-bit appliances for medium to large enterprises, web sites and ISPs/carriers. Running on A10's new 64-bit ACOS architecture, the new models extend the AX Series family with increased scalability, and throughput ranging from 10 Gbps to 40 Gbps in the most compact, energy efficient platforms.

A10’s marketing director also bragged about receiving two distinctive industry awards this year. It’s 64-bit AX series received the “Best of TechEd 2010” award in the Networking category from Penton Media’s Windows ITPro and SQL Server magazine.

And it was named as the “top work place” in the bay area by The San Jose Mercury News.

During this interview, Tehrani asked LeBlanc to describe the kind of companies that could benefit from A10’s products. The marketing director promptly identified companies, from small/medium to larger enterprises, with high Internet traffic looking to improve performance in a scalable environment. And how do they determine that they need A10 solution? The answer was to do a performance test by deploying the product in the real-world network and seeing the results.

On the competitive front, LeBlanc said “A10 was very competitive and we shine in environments where we are allowed to do tests”
