Savant Protection Adds Windows 7 Support to Its Application Whitelisting Solution

Savant Protection, a provider of Automated Application Whitelisting, announced the latest release of its award-winning and patented solution including coverage for Windows 7 clients.

The Savant Protection Version 4 extends its scalability by bolstering its Enterprise Management System (EMS). This allows administrators to easily oversee and configure permissions for multiple EMSs on one system.

Version 4 is capable of supporting Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2008, as well as Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 operating systems. All operating systems are now supported in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

Paul Paget, CEO of Savant Protection said that Version 4 is beneficial to customers as it provides cost-effective security, compliance and is operationally efficient. He added that Version 4 extends the number of platforms the company supports, and expands their enterprise management capabilities for ease of use and operational efficiency.

In addition, Version 4 also improves compliance with leading regulations including PCI (News - Alert) DSS, NERC/CIP and HIPAA, through enhanced integration with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Enterprises and MSPs are using Savant’s solution to cost-effectively stop malware, viruses and other security threats. Also because Version 4 has been designed to minimize disruption to the end user, Savant seamlessly allows administrators to continue to manage updates and installation of software.

Highlights of Version 4 include:

·         Support for 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows 2000 operating systems;
