QinetiQ (News - Alert) North America’s Systems Engineering Group announced that it will provide the Marine Corps Systems Command’s Communications Intelligence and Networking Systems Product Group or CINS PG with life-cycle support services, including engineering, logistics, acquisition and IT support.
Company sources added that the CINS PG is the central agent for the research, development, acquisition and life-cycle management of communications, intelligence, surveillance and networking systems throughout the Marine Corps, for both the Operating Forces and the Supporting Establishment.
Besides providing the Program Manager or PM Networking and Satellite Communications with acquisition support QinetiQ will also provide the engineering, financial and logistics support. PM NSC is instrumental in leading the R & D, acquisition efforts of the Marine Corp’s and also the sustainment of networking and satellite communications equipment.
QinetiQ will also provide similar support services to the PM Tactical Communications Systems (News - Alert) or TCS. PM TCS also helps in all research and development efforts of the Marine Corps. As regards to sustainment of tactical radios and equipment.
According to QinetiQ sources the company will provide systems acquisition support to the PM USMC Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare or CREW Systems. The USMC CREW program is responsible for the procurement, fielding and sustainment of all CREW systems used by the Marine Corps.
