GraphOn Unveils GO-Global 4 Product Suite

GraphOn Corporation, a worldwide developer of application publishing and Web-enabling software solutions, has unveiled GO-Global 4, a new product suite that expands the functionality of the company’s GO-Global for Windows application virtualization solution.

“We are very excited to introduce our new GO-Global 4 family and its powerful new capabilities, including support for 64-bit operating systems,” said Asaf Doron, vice president of product marketing for GraphOn.

Doron said that GO-Global 4 is much more than a product upgrade. It’s a brand new, robust, remote access platform built from the ground up to meet today’s demanding application publishing and virtualization requirements, he said.

Officials with GraphOn said that GO-Global 4 provides instant and secure access to centrally-running Windows applications from any location, platform, and operating system.

According to company officials, the solution “publishes” Windows-based applications over LANs, WANs, VPNs, and/or the Internet for easy remote access from cross-platform clients and mobile users.

Company officials said that GO-Global 4 is easy to use, yet provides the power and features necessary to support medium to large enterprise deployments.

Doron said that GO-Global 4 eliminates the time and expense needed to rewrite existing Windows-based applications for the Web.

“It’s much easier to deploy and use than complex alternatives such as Citrix XenApp or limited solutions such as Microsoft (News - Alert) Remote Desktop Services,” he said.

Back in February GraphOn Corporation had announced two new application virtualization software products: GO-Global for Windows Personal Edition and GO-Global for UNIX Personal Edition.

GO-Global for Windows Personal Edition Web-enables any Windows application for fast and secure remote access from any PC, Mac, or Web browser. The plug-and-play virtualization solution “publishes” the application onto the Internet or company network in minutes – without the need to modify any code.

An authorized user on another PC, Mac, UNIX/Linux computer, or other device can view and interact with the application in a Web browser window or a native desktop window – just as though it were running on the local device.

Similarly, GO-Global for UNIX Personal Edition publishes UNIX or Linux applications onto the Internet or network for remote access from any PC, Mac, or Web browser.
