The Information Technology Certification Council announced its partnership with Integral7, Inc. for creating the first-of-its-kind Web-based credential clearinghouse especially for the IT industry. The ITCC Clearinghouse will allow IT candidates, certification program managers and employers hiring skilled IT professionals in aggregating, validating and verifying IT credentials from the participating members.
With the ITCC Clearinghouse, IT professionals will be able to manage all of their certifications through a single account. By using a single unique ID which works for all the participating certifications and testing providers, IT professionals will be able to easily aggregate certifications from numerous organizations in a single, secure report presenting a complete credential portfolio to employers and other parties.
Various benefits are offered by ITCC Clearinghouse to credential sponsors who are managing and administering certification programs and employers who are looking for skilled IT professionals. Validation costs can be reduced by sponsors by the elimination of manual processes and increasing the value of certification to candidates by accepting other sponsors’ credentials and reducing fraud. Employers will be able to instantly verify a candidate’s credentials, making it easier and more cost-effective to search and hire qualified candidates.
In a release, Julieann Scalisi, managing director of global education for Citrix Systems (News - Alert) and chair of the ITCC said, “In today’s competitive IT job market, professional certifications provide critical information to employers assessing required skill sets and offer important validation for IT professionals seeking career advancement. The ITCC Clearinghouse consolidates and simplifies access to multiple vendor credentials, saving time for employers seeking qualified candidates and IT candidates who are certified in multiple technologies from various credentialing organizations.”
