.com Solutions Intros FmPro Migrator 5.68 Featuring Support For FileMaker 11

.com Solutions Inc., a provider of multi-platform products and services for developing, maintaining and migrating a number of databases, has announced to introduce the new version of its application, FmPro Migrator 5.68. FmPro Migrator Developer Edition and Platinum Edition 5.68 is a maintenance version introduced by the company, which provides compatibility with FileMaker 11. The new version also supports new FileMaker 11 Script Steps and new XML formats for Scripts and Layouts copied via the ClipBoard. Additionally, it supports performing Table Consolidation/Database Rebuild projects, and data conversions to SQL databases for ESS Configurations.

The company offers a range of solutions for maintenance of various databases, such as SQLite, Oracle, MySQL, FileMaker Pro, Access, Bento, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase (News - Alert), DB2®, OpenBase, PostgreSQL, FrontBase and Valentina. FmPro Migrator 5.68 includes a number of enhancements and bug fixes, which include support for building more than 399 relationships during Table Consolidation projects, building stand-alone networkable Rev database applications, and performing Servoy migrations.

It now provides support for performing table consolidation projects with FileMaker Pro Advanced 11, as the new clipboard XML formats is now being used by FileMaker Pro Advanced 11 for Scripts, Layouts, and Layout preview images. On the MacOS X platform, the users can access Layout preview images in PDF format, while previously the images were available only in PICT format. The application converts the full-sized PDF files into 200 x 200 pixel thumbnail images, which are displayed in the Layout tab of the Migration Process window.

Deploying the new version of the solution, users can create over 399 relationships during FileMaker table consolidation projects by saving the results and re-opening the Manage Database dialog. After creating every 200 relationships they have to repeat the step, so that any memory errors with FileMaker Pro Advanced can be prevented.

Apart from it, the company has fixed a number of issues faced by the users in previous versions of the solution. One of these issues involved the creation of SQL database relationships on Windows, while the obsolete Bento to FmPro conversion feature has been removed from the main solution, and has instead been included within FileMaker Pro. A yet another issue that prevented the creation of Microsoft (News - Alert) Access reports during FileMaker to Access database conversions has also been fixed, and the Servoy migration process has been updated in the new version to set Radio Button and Checkbox fields to an empty border, set the Portal Multi-Line parameter to true for all portals, and to set the column type for 'time' in addition to 'timestamp' columns as well.
