Planview Recognized in Leaders Quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management, 2010

Planview, a dealer in portfolio management, has announced that they have been recognized in the Leaders Quadrant of the Gartner (News - Alert) Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management, 2010.
Released recently by Daniel Stang, the Gartner report included 31 software vendors that provide IT project and portfolio management solutions in its review and quadrant profiling. The solutions were evaluated across more than a dozen criteria points encompassing the vendor's "ability to execute" and "completeness of vision."
President and chief operating officer of Planview, Greg Gilmore, has exclaimed that Planview, as an independent software company has brought a singular focus to the portfolio management marketplace. Their outstanding teams of professionals work with every single customers to improve their organizational performance by leveraging the portfolio management discipline.
Plainview has claimed that the success of their customers has made Planview to be recognized as the leader in their respective market. As a frontrunner in portfolio management software, Planview's primary source of new customers has been the amazing number of referrals they get from existing customers. Planview continues to maintain a 95% customer retention rate year over year.
Recent customer-focused advances that have been delivered by Planview includes: the continued maturation of its Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) capabilities into an industry-leading platform; an advanced road-mapping technology, released with Planview Enterprise 10.1, that allows organizations to align product road maps with the strategy of the business; and the Remote Advisory Service, that supports organizational adoption while reducing overall consulting and implementation costs.
The Gartner report has acknowledged that Plainview's supplementary offerings, the Planview Process Builder and Planview PRISMS enablement lines, are all designed to address the challenges involved in IT project and portfolio management (PPM (News - Alert)).
While integration is always a key aspect allowing PPM systems to provide value, more recently, the integration story for PPM is focusing on third-party data sources that collect and track IT demand requiring the consumption of IT resources. The Planview OpenSuite product line has been created to support customers' needs for this kind of integration, and delivers out-of-the-box interoperability between Planview Enterprise and more than 200 systems and applications.
