According to Patrick Morley, CEO, Bit9, IT organizations around the globe are being impacted by Cisco's decision to end-of-life the CSA endpoint security solution. In addition, market research form Gartner (

Alert) recently called Application Whitelisting the new 'foundational' approach to endpoint security to stop advanced threats, so now is the time for CSA users to take advantage of this opportunity.
'Bit9's migration program was created in response to the many inquiries we have already received from customers looking for a replacement solution. Bit9 delivers an incredibly seamless transition process and CSA users will be very pleased by how easy it is to deploy and administer Bit9 Parity, as well as the advanced threat protection that it provides," Patrick Morley, CEO, Bit9 said.
IT companies chose to implement endpoint security solutions mainly because of features like zero-day protection against attacks for which no patch or antivirus signature yet exists; visibility and control of applications and sensitive data against loss from users and targeted malware; and, total security that protects systems even when users are not connected to the corporate network or computers that lack the latest patches or antivirus signatures.
Unfortunately, those companies that chose CSA are now faced with the termination of this security product line. As a result of the product's end-of-life, Cisco has stopped developing and distributing new CSA feature releases and upgrades. Bit9 Parity offers a reliable and proven alternative.
Bit9 Parity Suite provides proactive, defense-in-depth protection of endpoints including laptops, desktops, servers and kiosks. By discovering all applications running on endpoints, assigning a Trust Factor and a policy, Bit9 Parity application whitelisting technology ensures the integrity of the computing environment. By gaining this visibility and control, organizations benefit with lower IT management and helpdesk costs and full protection from malware, zero-day attacks and advanced threats.
Bit9 is the pioneer and leader in Enterprise Application Whitelisting. The company's solutions provide total visibility and control over all software on endpoints, eliminating the risk caused by malicious, illegal and unauthorized software. Bit9 specializes in advanced threat protection to protect organizations from the Advanced Persistent Threat.
Bit9 recently
entered into a strategic partnership with Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a leading global supplier of fuel dispensing equipment and point-of-sale systems for the global petroleum marketplace, wherein Gilbarco will distribute Bit9's anti-malware solution with its new V8.02 Passport(R) Point of Sale System.
