At the Interop 2010 show in Las Vegas recently, TMCnet's CEO Rich Tehrani (News - Alert) had an opportunity to sit and talk withSysAid's Director of Marketing and Sales, Saar Bitner (News - Alert), about what they company was up to.

Bitner said his company works with service desk products, and develops the comprehensive products for IT departments, "including of course the core models, like help desk and asset management," as well as other aspects.

Speaking of changes he's seen in the market over the last few years, Bitner said that more organizations are looking for products that will be both comprehensive enough yet affordable and cost-effective: "There are always the big players, offering comprehensive products," but which require heavy resources in terms of investment and time, he noted, as well as long implementation cycles.

As the economy is changing, Bitner said, as things are "getting more unstable, more organizations are looking for products that will be faster to implement. No more six-month implementations. That takes too long. They want something they can implement in their organization in a matter of days or weeks."

At the same time, Bitner said, they're not willing to compromise on quality. "They do want to have all the information, all the functionality in place." And, he says, "That's exactly where SysAid comes in," as they offer a product with "all the functionality in a simple product you can implement in a matter of days or weeks." He said it has value in terms of cost-effectiveness as well.
