NetCracker Increases Offerings to Non-Telecom Infrastructure Providers

NEC (News - Alert) Corp subsidiary NetCracker has announced that it has boosted its expanded offerings to non-telecom entities that are facing increasing demands for more automated and operationally efficient networks. These include utilities that are planning and deploying smart grid programs, high speed connectivity providers, storage and data center providers, and government organizations.

NetCracker (News - Alert) caters to these entities because of their specific requirements as enterprises that do not fall into the strict category of communications service providers. These specific requirements include the need to improve the integration and management of Network, IT, and Applications, provide high speed connectivity, provide increased amounts of storage as well as the ability to secure data remotely, increase the flexibility of smart networks and develop the ability to work in and manage mixed wireless and wireline environments.

In February 2010, NetCracker had announced that it has expanded into all areas of Telecom Operations and Management Solutions and Services (TOMS). This expansion received wide coverage from European Communications Spring 2010 issue, as per a recent TMCnet article.

At the Management World trade show in Nice, France this week, NetCracker is announcing the extension of these services and solutions to a new breed of industries and networks that are facing complex communications infrastructure challenges.
