AB&T, GreenAppX and Jamcracker to Provide Channel-Ready Cloud Services

AB&T Telecom, GreenAppX and Jamcracker (News - Alert) have entered into a partnership to provide a channels-focused marketplace that enables Telco agents, VARs, and Managed Service Providers, or “MSPs,” to source and sell subscription-based cloud services to their business customers.

The GreenAppX marketplace provides AB&T channel partners with a wholesale cloud services catalog as well as private-branded life-cycle services delivery and management.

Officials with Jamcracker said that the GreenAppX marketplace, which is powered by the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network, enables AB&T channel partners to offer more than two dozen brand name communication, collaboration, IT, security, and business application solutions.

Company officials said that cloud services eliminate the need for businesses to own, manage and upgrade software applications and IT infrastructure. This delivery model also reduces capital expenditures and operations costs down to a monthly subscription fee that enables businesses to improve productivity and reduce costs. As needs change, businesses can simply add or cancel services.

According to company officials, for VARs and Telco agents, cloud services represent a large and rapidly growing revenue opportunity.

“The writing is on the wall, cloud services are rapidly emerging as the preferred method for businesses to purchase and consume applications and IT services,” said Emmet Tydings, president of AB&T Telecom (News - Alert) Group, in a statement.

Tydings said that the company’s mission has always been to offer national network of channel partners the most comprehensive and profitable line-up of telecom and IT services in the industry.

He said that the GreenAppX marketplace is the first channel-specific solution that enables VARs and Telecom agents to efficiently and profitably deliver cloud services on a broad scale.

Tydings said that federal, state and local governments are leading markets for cloud services, especially now that they have been publicly endorsed by White House CIO Vivek Kundra.

AB&T provides telecommunications and technology solutions for small, medium, large businesses and government customers, and delivers those solutions through hundreds of technology partners.

“AB&T Telecom has one of the largest and most established networks of master agents, VARs, and managed service providers in the nation,” said Jim Safran, president of GreenAppX.

Safran said that the GreenAppX marketplace provides AB&T’s channel partners with a major new source of revenue and an easy entry into a fast growing market.

He said that for businesses, this partnership means they can purchase all the cloud services they need, including traditional voice and data offerings, from a single, local, and trusted source.

GreenAppX is a major player in the delivery of business-class cloud services.

“For AB&T and its channel partners, the GreenAppX marketplace provides a powerful, risk-free way to expand into the cloud services market,” said Steve Crawford, vice president of marketing for Jamcracker.

Crawford said that the JSDN handles all the heavy lifting and back office processing to make the GreenAppX marketplace a turn-key selling, provisioning, delivery and billing platform for cloud services.

He said that AB&T has clearly embraced the cloud services model, and has made a significant investment in enabling a highly scalable channel with GreenAppX.

The Jamcracker Services Delivery Network is a global services ecosystem that enables carriers, IT service providers, value added resellers (VARs), and cloud services vendors to profitably deliver cloud services to businesses of all sizes.
