hField Launches Wi-Fire Connection Manager 2.0 for Mac Users

hField Technologies has announced the launch of a new generation of software for its Wi-Fire adapter so it can be used with the Macintosh.

 

With the new offering, Mac users will be able to leverage the long range and high performance features offered by Wi-Fire – and similar to that of Apple’s (News - Alert) AirPort.

Wi-Fire is a compact, long-range USB Wi-Fi Adapter that is palm-sized and easy-to-use. It’s long range and portability features makes it a best fit for travelers and WiFi (News - Alert) users who need connectivity at any time, company officials noted.

 

The Wi-Fi adapter features an integrated directional antenna, highly sensitive receiver and proprietary software which is capable of enhancing normal WiFi signals.

 

In addition, Wi-Fire offers users of Windows, Linux and Macintosh, the freedom to connect to WiFi networks at anytime and at any place.

Users will be able to connect to a Wi-Fi network from up to 1,000 feet, which is more than the range of other 802.11 adapters, and the high speed connectivity is capable of reaching far off places where wireless signals could not be detected before, hField officials noted.
