Acme Provides Portable Platforms with High-Performance Digital Display Connections

Acme Portable Machines, Inc. a provider of rugged portable platforms, reportedly announced additional support of portable platforms with high-performance digital display connections.
 
DisplayPort is designed to offer high resolutions, fast refresh rates and rich colors. It delivers every pixel with no compression, allowing or high-quality and accurate image. It forms the perfect interface for professional applications such as 3D modeling, simulation, video editing and medical imaging, said company sources.
 
The standard Comrade and EMP portable series platforms include two DisplayPorts, SATA hard drives, various professional graphic cards, and dual Intel (News - Alert) Xeon or Intel Core i7 processors. The Comrade is also integrated with dual Gb LAN, DDR3 memory, High Definition audio and an optional Blu-Ray optical drive.
 
Company sources added that Comrade includes a standard 17-inch, 16:10 LCD with resolution up to 1920x1200. The display is protected by tempered anti-glare glass. Besides there are also options for adding touch screen capability or upgrading to sunlight readable LCD for meeting requirements of specific applications.
 
Acme Portables are rugged and can perform flawlessly in harsh environments but allows for easy customization. The DisplayPort support ensures optimized performance as is required to review and edit in High-Definition.
 
Also the Comrade and EMP portable series are most suitable platforms for video editing, real-time simulation, 3-D modeling and more. Each product is also designed to comply with Mil-Std 810F for shock and vibration, and CE, FCC (News - Alert) and CCC for EMI compliance, said company sources.
 
The company also offers the only Portable rugged Supercomputer in the market: the Comrade 700. Comrade 700 features three NVidia C1060 Tesla cards, a Quadro FX3800 card, the latest Intel Core i7 processor and motherboard with seven PCI (News - Alert)-E Gen2 x16 slots for working with CUDA parallel programming.
 
Acme enables working with multiple screens with a solution called Seahawk 100. This model features three fully-integrated 17 inch, 1280x1024 LCDs all in single portable platform. The company allows for portable computing, custom configuration and OEM/ODM services with its solutions.
