AMAX Launches New Series of Clarkdale Servers

Servers are an essential part of business for any company that has an online presence. But the cost of servers and their maintenance expenses often becomes a headache for companies in these tight financial situations. Now, to help companies reduce the cost of maintenance of servers, AMAX has reportedly unveiled a new line of high performance, cost effective Clarkdale-based solutions.
 
AMAX (News - Alert) said that its ServMax Clarkdale-based servers deliver up to 50 percent more performance, lower power consumption, and lower cost compared to the previous generation UP servers. According to AMAX, appliance manufacturing customers will find these servers ideal for their business.
 
AMAX's ServMax rack-optimized and pedestal servers make us of latest multi-core, high performance, and energy-efficient Intel (News - Alert) or AMD one-way, two-way and four-way processing technologies.
 
“AMAX is renowned for providing OEM appliance customers with a wide range of high performance computing solutions that are flexible, powerful and cost effective,” Jean Shih, president of AMAX, said. “AMAX consistently meets the large demand for cost effective, yet powerful short depth servers suitable for many OEM Appliances including network, security and ISV appliances. This Intel platform delivers unparalleled performance.”
 
The features provided in the ServMax Clarkdale based servers include integrated PCI (News - Alert) Express 2.0 I/O, support for Intel Turbo Boost and Intel Hyper-Threading technologies, support for IPMI 2.0 with remote management capabilities, and integrated Memory Controller. It is ideal for appliances such as network Appliances, SMB environment: email/file/printing server, proxy, firewall, Web farms: Web and storage servers, rendering clusters and embedded applications: telecom, healthcare, industrial automation, security appliance and Web and storage servers, rendering clusters.
 
In May last year, the company launched a new series of parallel high performance computing cluster solutions to solve the world's most important computing challenges - more quickly and accurately - utilizing the Nvidia Tesla, teraflop, many-core processor technology. With a complete suite of developer tools, such as C Compiler, debugger, performance profiler, and optimized libraries, AMAX's Tesla HPC cluster solutions provide a platform for accelerating applications.
