Alert) DOCOMO, has
reportedly launched a new service for movie creation, KEITAIDE DOUGAWO TSUKUROU, which allows its users to create unique and personalized media contents.
According to company officials, the service allows users to create themes, tell stories and share with their friends via ubitus cloud computing platform.
ubitus Inc. is a provider of software platform for fixed-mobile convergence applications. The company’s cloud computing solution is said to help consumers to adopt premium services including video sharing. ubitus media effects solution automatically produces orchestrated and unique videos using captured photos, video clips and music.
Back in October, NTT Corp. and ubitus, Inc. signed an alliance to cooperate in the development of video distribution business using multiple devices.
With Ubitus platform, current users can access the new Service portal, upload the photos or video from their handset, decide on a theme, add video effects and subtitles of these pieces, and send a message to share with friends.
The newly announced service supports popular effects such as comic effect, transition effect and more.
NTT DOCOMO officials also said that the company is planning to boost data traffic from 42 percent of current total revenue to more than 50 percent by 2011, with key focus on media-related application, especially personalized video clips.
NTT DOCOMO is said to be expanding its global reach through offices and subsidiaries in Asia, Europe and North America, as well as strategic alliances with mobile and multimedia service providers in markets worldwide.
Recently, the company also announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary DOCOMO Deutschland GmbH has secured 6,126,567 shares of net mobile AG (

Alert), which is approximately 79.59 percent of the total shares issued by the international mobile-content distribution-platform company based in Düsseldorf, Germany.
