System managers often have to deal with various patches to manage the system. While this is a difficult task, it can also be time consuming for managers who have other duties to perform. To help the companies to manage the patches well, ProactiveWatch, a provider of remote monitoring and management software,
has introduced a new centralized patch management.
Patch Management includes acquiring, testing and installing multiple patches, or code changes, to an administered computer system. A person involved in patch management has to discharge duties such as maintaining current knowledge of available patches, determining what patches are appropriate for particular systems, making sure that patches are installed properly, testing systems after installation, and recording all associated procedures.
According to ProactiveWatch officials, the setup and configuration of the new path management solution takes just seconds and it does not require any additional hardware or software, and does not require Microsoft’s (

Michael Mittel, president of ProactiveWatch, said that keeping client systems updated with the latest security patches is a critical, but time consuming task that Service Providers must perform for their clients.
“Using our integrated patch management, Service Providers know exactly what patches are available and for which machines or clients,” Mitel (

The new solution allows the Service Provider to apply certain patches across all clients and all servers and workstations with the help of the powerful, intuitive filtering. They can also apply patches only to certain clients, classes of machines, or even to individual machines.
Recently, the company
introduced a new RemoteCommand technology that gives support engineers a tool to respond to IT problems and clients' computer systems from their Blackberry, iPhone (
