Alert) Xeon 5500 Processor Series platform, running IPS signatures from a tier-1 IPS equipment vendor. HyperScan not only leverages cache memory to scan large volumes of patterns simultaneously, but also takes advantage of platform specific optimizations like SIMD and Hyperthreading to improve performance. Hence, HyperScan runs 22 percent faster on the Intel Xeon 5500 Process Series when compared to the Intel Xeon 5400 Processor Series.
According to Sab Gosal, CEO of Sensory Networks, the HyperScan algorithms are steps beyond DFA and NFA implementations typically used in the industry for pattern matching. Using patented techniques along with the knowledge of modern CPU architectures, HyperScan delivers throughput performance that scales linearly and runs faster than equivalent hardware solutions.
HyperScan is supplied with a benchmarking tool, documentation and the necessary technical assistance to ensure a quick and easy evaluation of the product.
