International Datacasting Demonstrates SFX ProIPTV

International Datacasting Corp., or “IDC (News - Alert),” a provider of advanced solutions for the distribution of broadband multimedia content via satellite, announced that it has demonstrated its RoHS compliant SFX ProIPTV satellite receivers at a recent industry event.

According to IDC officials, the company manufactures a broad range of hardware and software products that can be combined with other components, such as antennas, to provide complete systems for the broadcasting of radio/audio and data of various types including digitized and compressed video. The next-generation IPTV (News - Alert) product SFX ProIPTV is built on their expertise in deployed in-the-field IPTV networks.

The SFX ProIPTV is a cost-effective and easy to use satellite receiver solution forming the foundation of any reliable broadcast quality IPTV service. The solution supports up to 14 dual carrier hot-swappable satellite receiver blade modules in a single chassis with several built in decryption options. The unique design of the ProIPTV allows users to purchase the modules and configuration that are best suited for their needs while providing them with a system that can grow as the demands on the network increase.

IDC has claimed that the solution is designed to generate additional revenues for service providers by working with already installed traditional DTH/DBS and CATV broadcast networks and they can also offer a complete custom configured end-to-end DVB-S2 IPTV system from scratch.

Ron Clifton (News - Alert), IDC President and CEO has commented that the TelcoTV conference was an exciting one for them this year as they unveiled their highly innovative next generation Pro IPTV blade receiver and performed live demodulation and streaming IP live demonstrations with it.

In these difficult economic times, they are especially pleased to be introducing new products that reduce deployment costs for customers while being friendlier to the environment through reduced power consumption and waste.

Recently IDC announced a new and expanded product line.
