OLEx' Recent Study Reports Merix Tops Cost of Quality Analysis

Merix Corporation, a provider of high reliability printed circuit boards, or “PCBs,” has reportedly been ranked number one in the category of cost of quality measurement and analysis in a recent published study conducted by Operations Leadership Exchange, or “OLEx,” a division of the Corporate Executive Board, an industry research firm.
 
According to Merix officials, the company’s technologically advanced rigid, multi-layer printed circuit boards are utilized in the design and development of complex electronic applications. It provides the customer base with a seamless and cost effective transition from quick-turn prototyping through pre-production to high-volume PCB manufacturing across the broadest array of technologies around the world.
 
The company’s systems are utilized in various markets such as automotive, defense and aerospace, communications, computing, industrial, networking, peripherals and test end markets in the worldwide electronics industry.
 
Michael D. Burger, president and CEO of Merix, said that the latest award from OLEx validates the enhancements made by the company to its quality and production systems. The cost of quality plus customer quality metrics together is like a barometer of the total effectiveness of quality management system.
