Nstein Technologies Releases 'Semantic Site Search' Engine

Nstein Technologies this week unveiled its new Semantic Site Search (3S), a search engine designed to provide unmatched search results.

The 3S product is built utilizing the registered text-extracting expertise of Nstein for web site search and precise results.

“3S is a front-end, multi-index search engine designed to provide users an unparalleled search experience,” Nstein CTO Jean-Michel Texier said. “Standard, statistical site search often doesn’t give users the results they are looking for. Matching simple keywords against hundreds of thousands of documents sometimes returns a lot of irrelevant results. 3S provides an entirely different experience.”

3S’s design allows it to source the search content from various stored indexes and published web sources. It works by sensing the attributes of the materials to index them in an orderly fashion. After arranging the materials, Nstein’s patented semantic fortification method is utilized for processing.

The 3S’ embedded “Text Mining Engine” recognizes the idea, classification and other details such as names, institutions and places and the mode of the search. The content details of the documents are analyzed using 3S technology identification to understand facts and the meaning of the sourced content for further use.

“When a user submits a search query to 3S, they are returned highly accurate, faceted results organized by topics and entities,” Texier said. “This has the effect of offering users very relevant related content, ensuring that they not only find what they’re looking for but also discover other valuable content.”

3S’s tailor-made visual interface that’s easy to configure. The set system search program can be reset using the visual interface without changing the program code. While elaborating the details of this facility Texier said.

“We wanted to allow administrators to experiment with tweaking and customizing search algorithms on-the-fly, without digging deep into code,” said Texier. “We created a slider-based interface that modifies search results between sets of sensitivities, more recent vs. more relevant, for example. This allows administrators to push the content they want to push.”

Various search devices that are expected to enhance users’ searches are included in the 3S package. The available options allow the users to separate and categorize the search contents as duplicate, relevant, recent content or with any other traits to recognize the content and support it. The available devices, engine templates and the connecting system elements help the users to make difficult type of web searches and index them properly.

“It’s remarkable, how flexible 3S is,” said Matthieu Delorme (News - Alert), CTO at Gesca Digital, Nstein’s first 3S client. “Not only can we tweak the search sensitivity on-the-fly, we can also control content placement and even ad placement. If we want to push a certain piece, 3S makes certain the right users find it.”

“It has been a pleasure to work with Gesca Digital on this,” said Texier. “The implementation was quick and easy and now they are customizing the tool to make it their own. That is what we wanted.”
