And the new Au1300 Processor is built on the success of its predecessor Au1200 and is capable of extending performance, enriching media experience and reducing overall system power.
The Au1300 Processors provide on-chip decoding of many digital media formats including H.264, MPEG 1/2/4, DivX, XviD, WMV9 and VC-1, without the need for transcoding. It features a unique highly efficient system bus architecture that can offer the necessary bandwidth for intensive apps like 2D/3D applications with simultaneous video decode without a significant impact on overall system performance.
LG has asserted that they chose the Au1300 because the Alchemy processors truly surpassed their expectations in terms of best-in-class processing performance and unmatched low-standby power, making it ideal for their next-generation automotive infotainment solutions. The company has claimed that their automotive infotainment solutions are seeing strong success around the globe and are being adopted by several major auto manufacturers and the company is looking forward for continued close collaboration with NetLogic Microsystems (
