InfoVista Releases 5View Service Data Manager 2.0

InfoVista, a provider of service performance assurance, has unveiled the new 5View Service Data Manager 2.0.

InfoVista’s 5View Service Data Manager offers the carrier-class application performance management platform and feature set needed to provide service providers and large enterprises with real-time visibility and analysis of any kind of service usage data, according to company officials. And the new version of the platform upgrades it with a fully integrated Application Response Manager and makes it possible for managed service providers and large enterprises to monitor application delivery and response time, while continuing to make use of existing or new VistaInsight for Networks deployments with unified application usage visibility and WAN optimization awareness.

VistaInsight for Networks is a performance and service management solution that enables telcos and enterprises to effectively meet and exceed performance expectations and service-level guarantees for today’s communications technologies and services, company officials said.

The new 5View Service Data Manager 2.0 is said to have the ability to critical connect application response-time analysis with the underlying network infrastructure and allows clients to easily grasp the knowledge of their fundamental infrastructure in order to make their management effective and improve the end-user experience.

Eric Fries, senior vice president of application performance management business line for InfoVista, said that the new 5View Service Data Manager 2.0 is a natural extension to their well-received solutions for Advanced Business Services. The enhanced version offers significant benefits to their customers and underscores InfoVista’s mission to continue to develop a portfolio of game-changing Advanced Business Service solutions for providers of managed services.

Company officials said that ever since its new unified network and application performance management solution was announced six months ago, it has won projects with two service providers, both offering a tailor-made approach to application-aware Advanced Business Services.

One of them, a tier-one telco in the Asia-Pacific region, has deployed InfoVista’s 5View application-aware solutions as part of a large infrastructure outsourcing project with a major bank and the other one, a Central European tier-one provider has employed the unified 5View and VistaInsight solution to expedite application-aware troubleshooting.

InfoVista recently unveiled new software solutions to help service providers launch VPN business services and InfoVista solutions were incorporated with Cisco’s (News - Alert) offerings for service providers.
