NEXIO recently
announced the launch of its new Infrared Multi Touch Screens and Monitors. With the recent release of Windows 7, there is a great surge in demand for multi-touch screens and monitors. This is because the Windows 7 application supports multi-touch functions.
“We are proud to offer these high quality infrared multi-touch screens and monitors to customers,” Harry Rhim, CEO of SYNET USA, said in a statement. “Their durability, accuracy, and low response time make them winners. Every company that has been using single touch screens will have to consider switching to multi-touch screens."
The IR multi touch screen will let multiple software applications be developed and made widely available. NEXIO is currently offering touch screens ranging from 10.4” to 103”, in order to cater to the requirements of all available segments. In all there are four models. Each model has a specific objective.
The first model is the touch screen device. Users have been given the option of incorporating these touch screen devices with their own designed systems or their televisions. The next product is the complete touch monitor system. This is an amalgam of the touch screen and the HD LCD TV. The other two products in the NEXIO suite are two smaller sized models which have more rugged exteriors. These are meant for commercial and industrial applications. With these products, NEXIO is focused on providing solutions to every touch screen requirement.
Users often extol the benefits of the infrared technology, especially its durability and accuracy. Even though there were apparent advantages in its adoption, the price points were high and this prevented the mass adoption of this technology. The latest launch from NEXIO bucks this trend. NEXIO’s Infrared Multi Touch Screens and Monitors are being offered at affordable prices. The company expects its price point to be more attractive to consumers than anything else.
One of the disadvantages associated with the infrared technology has been that it gets affected by sunlight. NEXIO has also equipped its products in such a manner that this disadvantage is not longer an issue.
The company’s multi-touch screens are currently being retailed by SYNET, a sales and marketing firm based in San Francisco. NEXIO’s Infrared Multi-Touch Screens and Monitors were first seen at the IT Channel USA Conference 2009 that was organized in Santa Clara, Calif. This was an event set up by SYNET and sponsored by the Korean IT Research Institute.
