Intrinsyc CerfBoard is an ultra-compact, high-performance reference platform that gives customers a head start on developing Internet devices.
And the newly released Intrinsyc CerfBoard i.MX Development Kits (DK) and Systems on Module (SOM) will hasten the development of mobile devices for applications in automotive, consumer, industrial, medical, and point of sale markets that demand exceptional performance and efficiency.
The “i.MX Systems on Module” is a pack of internal memory, external peripheral interfaces, expansion headers, and a binary image of Android, Linux or Windows Embedded CE while the Development Kit includes the i.MX SOM, i.MX base board, modem serial cable, Ethernet cable, power supply, quick start guide and CD with hardware and software documentation and more.
Designers will will be able to quickly develop applications on a feature rich hardware platform including all accessories necessary to have the complete solution up and running in a short time, according to
Freescale, the maker of the i.MX applications processor family.
The modular design of the CerfBoard i.MX SOM allows for quick customization, while the ready-to-run BSPs integrated into a well-known environment dramatically reduce development costs and learning curves.
Freescale said that the Intrinsyc CerfBoard i.MX device development solutions are backed by an experienced product development engineering team that can help customers overcome technical and resource challenges. By reducing the risk of development delays and failures, CerfBoard solutions can give Freescale customers additional confidence in the i.MX processor platform.
The experts at Intrinsyc offer a free half-day “QuickStart Sessions,” which includes an overview of the critical requirements in device development with a focus on each customer’s specific needs. Device makers who are interested in using these development solutions can query a specific development question to the session or use the session to shorten their learning curve.
