Sonasoft Announces Price Reduction for its Backup and Recovery Solution

Sonasoft, a provider of fully integrated and automated solutions for archiving, disaster recovery, and data backup/recovery for the SMB market, has announced a year-end price-reduction program for its Sonasoft (News - Alert) Backup and Recovery solution.

The price has been reduced to $499 for SonaExchange and $399 for the SonaSQL backup and recovery solution. This special promotional offer also includes 250 mailboxes with SonaExchange.

Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange and SQL Servers are continually backed up using Sonasoft SonaExchange and SonaSQL products. Thus they help organizations meet Recovery Point Objective and Recovery Time Objective and ensure recovery of Exchange Stores, mailboxes and SQL Server databases in case data is corrupted on the Server, company officials said.

“We recognize that in this economy, it is difficult for businesses to include new products into their budgeting cycles while many are facing expense control or cost-reductions,” said Andy Khanna, president and CEO, Sonasoft, in a release.

Khanna said the company hopes that the price reduction will make a strong and compelling case for the investment in the Sonasoft automated backup solution.

The new discount offer is effective immediately and available through December 31, 2009, company sources said. The offer is applicable to both existing and new customers of Sonasoft.

Sonasoft also offers Replication for the Microsoft Exchange and SQL Servers through its SonaVault, SonaExchange Replicator and SonaSQL Replicator and Email archiving with eDiscovery capabilities products.

Back in April, Sonasoft announced partnership with nAppliance Networks, a provider of cost effective infrastructure management and security appliances for the SMB and enterprise markets, to deliver a new line of exchange archiving appliances, TMCnet reported.

The new product line, dubbed the Net-Archiver SonaVault series, enables all types of businesses to safeguard against future litigation risks, effectively scale and optimize the exchange server storage infrastructure, and improve simple day-to-day employee email records and access management.

Earlier this year, Sonasoft also announced its SonaSafe series of products designed for disk-to-disk backup/recovery, high availability and disaster recovery and archiving, TMCnet reported. Products announced under this brand included SonaSafe for SQL Server, SonaSafe for Exchange Server, SonaSafe for File Systems and SonaSafe for Email Archiving.
