Corsair Announces New Ultra-Rugged, High-Capacity Flash Drive

Corsair, a global provider of high-performance computer memory, power supplies and flash memory products, including solid-state drives, has reportedly launched the new 64GB Flash Survivor USB drive, and claims it is the most rugged high-capacity flash drive on the market.

The company’s ultra-durable Flash Survivor USB drives are already popular. Company officials said this popularity is due to the products’ CNC-milled, aircraft-grade aluminum casing, which makes them practically indestructible. These drives are also water-resistant and can survive the depth of 200 meters.

Boasting the same ultra-rugged credentials, the 64GB Flash Survivor has the added benefit of high storage capacity and higher performance compared to most other 64GB flash drives currently available.

According to Jim Carlton, vice president of marketing for Corsair, the 64GB Survivor is ideal for storing and transporting music, videos, pictures and other important files. Users will feel safe in the knowledge that their important data will be safeguarded inside the Survivor's protective shell.

Due to the ruggedness and high capacity of 64GB Survivor, it is ideal for use as a super-secure data backup device, in combination with backup products, such as Corsair's Flash Voyager Port.

The company said that a combination of the 64GB Survivor and the Disaster Recovery feature of the NovaBACKUP software bundled with the Flash Voyager Port creates a near disaster-proof backup solution.

Each Corsair 64GB Flash Survivor drive is bundled with a USB extension cable and dog tags. The product is backed by a 10-year limited warranty and comprehensive customer support via telephone, email, forum and the Tech Support Express helpdesk.

The Corsair 64GB Flash Survivor can be purchased through Corsair's worldwide authorized dealer channel.

Last week, Corsair launched a revamped Flash Voyager GT product suite including USB flash drives, with capacities of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The products are packaged in the Flash Voyager's trademarked ruggedized rubber housing so that users can be confident that their data is secure and protected from damage.
