Green Hills Software Announces Networking Solutions Center

Green Hills Software, Inc., an independent vendor of embedded software solutions, has announced its Networking Solutions Center, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

According to company officials, the center is staffed by a team of engineering veterans dedicated to advancing network protocol technology, industry protocol collaboration and network security.

The solutions center is led by Susan Hares, director of networking solutions for Green Hills Software. 

With more than 25 years of experience, Hares is recognized as one of the world's foremost experts in routing and networking technology. 

"With 15 billion network connected devices expected by 2015, Green Hills understands the importance of providing secure, reliable communications," Hares said. 

Hares said that while the networking industry has seen staff and budget cuts during the current recession – including the exit of Wind River (News - Alert) and its WindNet products from the general market – Green Hills Software has aggressively grown its strategic networking investment to address these challenges.

Founded in 1982, Green Hills is an independent vendor of embedded development solutions. In 2008, the Green Hills INTEGRITY-178B RTOS was the first and only operating system to be certified by the NSA to EAL6+ High Robustness, the highest level of security ever achieved for any software product.

Recently, Green Hills Software announced its new Embedded Virtualization Business Unit, representing a significant investment and commitment to virtualization in the embedded and special-purpose computing market. 

The business unit’s flagship product, INTEGRITY Secure Virtualization, or “ISV,” supports hosting of Windows, Linux, VxWorks and other general purpose operating systems in secure virtual containers on ARM, Intel (News - Alert), Power and other processor architectures.
