Infobright's ICE Marks One Year Anniversary

Toronto-based Infobright, or “ICE.” 

The company also announced over 15,000 downloads of ICE to date, the addition of nearly 40 partners to its OEM and reseller network, as well as a customer base that has increased by tenfold. 

The Infobright customer roster is heavy with online businesses, as well as telecommunications, retail and financial services companies, company officials say, including recent wins at bWIN games, Smiley Media and TIPS Marketing. 

The company has opened a sales office in the United Kingdom as well. 

Miriam Tuerk, Infobright president and CEO, said that the fact that our customer base has grown from eight to 80 is a testament to the value and business benefits that open source can bring.

According to company officials, nearly 40 OEMs and resellers have joined Infobright's partner network around the world, with the company’s released integrated products with technology partners such as Actuate, Jaspersoft, Pentaho and Sun Microsystems' MySQL.

Infobright and Actuate have recently announced the availability of an integrated open source product consisting of BIRT and ICE as well.

Over its lifespan Infobright has delivered eight new versions of ICE as well as two major releases of Infobright Enterprise Edition, including support for operating system environments including Windows and Solaris.

reported that Infobright released Infobright Community Edition for Windows.

According to the company, it now offers native support for its ICE open source data warehouse on the Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows platform in response to requests from the Infobright open source user community.
