BLADE Posts Record-Breaking Revenue, Growth

Soon after its third fiscal 2009 quarter on July 31, BLADE Network Technologies has reportedly posted its historically best quarterly revenue, profits and market share. According to BLADE Network, the company is on its way to post another impressive financial result this year.

BLADE Network Technologies provides networking solutions for blade server environments. Apart from improving performance and providing high availability, scalability, manageability, and security to the blade environment, the BLADE’s products add network intelligence to the blade enclosure, claims the company. BLADE customers will get considerable reduction in Total Cost of Ownership for their data center infrastructure, the company said.

Through its partnerships with companies such as HP, IBM, NEC and Verari Systems, BLADE leads Cisco in market share of Ethernet switches. The company quotes a report from Dell' (News - Alert)Oro Group's Q209 Ethernet Switch Quarterly Report, which states that BLADE Network is among the world's top three suppliers of 10 Gigabit Ethernet data center switches.

“Our record-breaking third quarter is a testament to our business model, focus on innovation and passionate commitment to customer satisfaction," said Vikram Mehta, president and CEO, BLADE Network Technologies in a statement. "This achievement is particularly gratifying at a time of general economic downturn. As the world's largest enterprises undertake multi-billion-dollar upgrades of their data centers, BLADE will continue to join forces with IT leaders such as HP, IBM (News - Alert) and NEC.”

Apart from its impressive financial results, the company also reached some other milestones in the quarter. It completed its Series B financing, with new investors NEC (News - Alert), Juniper Networks and a third technology industry leader as a silent investor. Apart from this, the company also installed its 6 millionth Ethernet switch port at Baidu.com (News - Alert).

Recently, the company announced that its VMready is available for use with the HP 1:10Gb Ethernet BL-c switch. A part of BLADE's Cloud Ready Network Architecture, VMready supports thousands of virtual switch ports. VMready lets networks be Virtual Machine aware. It helps to configure and manage the networks for virtual ports, rather than just physical ports.
