Crossbeam Systems Expands Presence in Hong Kong

Crossbeam Systems, Inc., a provider of next-generation security platforms for high-performance networks, has reportedly expanded its presence in Hong Kong and hired industry veteran Marcos Ong to support the growing demand for its X-Series Next Generation Security Platform.

According to a release, Marcos Ong brings more than 15 years of sales, business development and management experience in Hong Kong. Ong, in his role as country manager of Hong Kong, Macau and South China, brings market knowledge, sales and operational expertise that is expected to drive expansion efforts and enable the company to take full advantage of the thriving network security market in Hong Kong.

“China represents an enormous market opportunity as businesses look to improve their security posture while still meeting demands for scalability, manageability and cost-effectiveness,” said Raymond Yang, regional sales director of Greater China for Crossbeam (News - Alert), in the release.

Yang said that Ong has exceptional knowledge of the local market and customer requirements, and has the management expertise that will support the company’s needs on the ground.

“With Ong on board and with continued support from our security and distribution partners, we are in a good position to drive growth in the region and support customer demand,” he added.

Marcos Ong said that China is experiencing a groundswell of businesses seeking stronger and better-performing network security solutions.

Ong said that the X-Series has gained enormous traction as the only platform that can deliver the best security solutions on the market, while providing the speed, scalability and flexibility that is required by customers.

“I look forward to meeting this demand and building upon Crossbeam’s success in China with our valued partners,” he added.

Back in August Crossbeam Systems, had announced signing three European companies to its Crossbeam Accredited Service Provider (CASP) program.

As CASP members, Afina, Clounet and ExperTeach have joined the invitation-only community of strategic partners who sell Crossbeam solutions and associated training, professional services and technical support.

Afina, a multinational distributor of IT security solutions based in Spain, and Clounet, a network security systems integrator based in Switzerland, have both joined as CASP-Support Partners.

They will resell Crossbeam’s X-Series Next Generation Security Platforms and provide 24-hour technical support including on-the-ground diagnostics to customers in their respective countries.

With online access to Crossbeam’s Remote Training Lab, security specialists from Afina and Clounet will be able to recreate customer deployment scenarios and remotely resolve issues.

ExperTeach, one of the providers of professional training in the IT industry in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium, has joined as a CASP-ATP (News - Alert) (Authorized Training Partner).

As a main provider of certification training for Crossbeam products in Germany and Central Europe, ExperTeach will be a key asset in getting more German-speaking security professionals certified as X-Series specialists. Crossbeam channel partners and customers will benefit from local access to hands-on, high-quality training for Crossbeam’s security platforms.
