The BladeSymphony 320 is a compact high density model for Hitachi’s Integrated Service Platform. The Load Balancer Blade for the 320 Chassis enables Web Application Delivery onto a common blade server chassis, optimizing rack space. Hitachi is expected to solely perform the marketing and distribution of the Load Balancer Blade.
Running on BladeSymphony 320, the new Load Balancing Blade provides customers with a next-generation consolidated Web Application Delivery platform in a single system, making network design easier and reducing management costs.
In addition, the Load Balancing Blade addresses the growing virtualization and cloud computing network architectures. This has been made possible through the strategic alliance between Hitachi and A10.
Hitachi said that it selected A10 Networks’ (

“The Load Balancing Blade will enable system consolidation and TCO reduction, adding new value to our Integrated Service Platform, BladeSymphony,” said Akio Yamamoto, division president for Enterprise Server Division at Hitachi, in a release.
He said that Hitachi also has a technology alliance with A10's AX Series family of high-performance application delivery controller appliances, and also indicated that the company plans to strengthen the partnership between the two companies.
Noting that the inclusion of ACOS with Hitachi's Blade Server is a “powerful combination,” Lee Chen (

“The combined solution also benefits customers by lowering cost and power consumption, and enabling initiatives such as virtualization and cloud computing,” said Chen.
