Aflexi Demonstrates FlexiMart Platform For Web Hosts

Aflexi has recently demonstrated its new Aflexi FlexiMart platform for Web hosts that enables makes it possible to purchase and market excess capacity. It also provides affordable CDN services among Web hosting competitors and makes it possible to monetize excess server and bandwidth capacity.

 

FlexiMart allows operators to share infrastructure by allowing operators to buy, sell and trade capacity, both at a fixed price and through bidding. The offering includes a powerful search engine which enables regional bandwidth searching and makes it possible for a user to quickly find out all the available bandwidth within specific regions offered by different operators.

For example, if a Web host needs a few edge nodes in the Asia and Europe region temporarily for a possible traffic surge, they will be able to log on to Aflexi FlexiMart and find the best deal. They may need a Web host in Asia and another one in Europe. As soon as they make the choice, the Aflexi CDN will transparently merge them to existing networks, scaling the Web host’s infrastructure and enabling the hosting network to automatically and instantaneously expand to the Asia and Europe regions as required.
