Leading Intelligence Monitoring Vendor Selects Enea Netbricks Protocols

A leading European supplier of intelligence monitoring solutions reportedly has selected Enea Netbricks DMOD-BRICKS and DCOD-BRICKS 3G 324 for use in lawful intercept network equipment.

"Leading vendors are consistently selecting Enea (News - Alert) Netbricks protocols over other options," said Per Åkerberg, president and CEO, Enea, in a statement.

"The reasons are quite clear: Our software and our solutions experts substantially improve time to market and reduce development costs for our customers," said Åkerberg.
Enea officials said that DMOD-BRICKS and DCOD-BRICKS 3G 324 are part of the Enea Netbricks line of network protocols. Written in ANSI C, Enea Netbricks protocols take advantage of a modular, portable architecture that allows hardware platform and compiler independence.

DMOD-BRICKS is used in fax and voice-band modem interception applications to demodulate communication streams.

Officials said that DCOD-BRICKS 3G 324 is a suite of software components that provide powerful capabilities for non-intrusive analysis of video and multimedia communication sessions over 3G mobile networks.

Enea Netbricks protocols are provided in source code to over 400 TEMs, and device OEMs worldwide, assisting them in getting products to market quickly, with very low risk and significantly reduced development costs.

Enea is a global software and services company focused on solutions for communication-driven products.

With 40 years of experience Enea is a major player in the development of software platforms with extreme demands on high-availability and performance.

Back in July, Enea had announced that 4DK Technologies has selected its Enea System Manager for the latest iteration of SCout, a telecommunications-grade service platform.
4DK will implement System Manager along with Enea Element, a suite of high-availability, standards-based services for building robust, high-performance applications previously selected by the company as its middleware layer. The agreement was reached in the second quarter of 2009.

Enea says that the Enea System Manager is a first-of-its-kind, platform management solution designed to provide out-of-the-box integration for leading ATCA communications platforms.

System Manager enables configuration, monitoring, control and platform software upgrade for the entire ATCA system, saving telecommunications equipment manufacturers up to 54 man-months of development time.  System Manager can be implemented as a stand alone application or in conjunction with Enea Element.
