Apparent Networks Launches Authorized Reseller Program

Apparent Networks, a provider of network fault and performance management solutions, has launched its worldwide authorized reseller program, which allows IT solution providers to participate in the lucrative market for Apparent Networks’ (News - Alert) path-based tools.

The company also announced it has signed Kenson Engineering, Ltd., as its first European partner selling to enterprise, non-profit, and government customers throughout EMEA.

According to company officials, the authorized reseller program enables participants to sell and support PathView, a software application that provides IT teams with end-to-end network visibility they need to effectively manage new, distributed applications.
Officials pointed out that with PathView, companies can more closely monitor their own environments and precisely assess the performance of their carrier’s and service provider’s networks in real time.

PathView had previously been available solely from Apparent Networks via a direct sales force. This announcement marks the beginning of the Apparent Networks’ worldwide expansion.

“We are looking to selectively expand the distribution of our solution through strategic partnerships with companies like Kenson,” said Keith Bartlett, vice president of business development, Apparent Networks, in a statement.

Bartlett said that the company’s PathView reseller program gives traditional network management resellers the opportunity to bring complementary technology to their customers to help them more easily manage complex, cloud-based networks. Kenson is exceptionally qualified to bring PathView to a broader group of customers, he added.

Kenson Network Engineering, Ltd, headquartered in Gloucestershire, UK, operates world-wide across the voice and data network sectors with solutions ranging from individual point solutions to enterprise-wide systems.

Kenson will offer PathView as an easy-to-use tool for pre-deployment network assessments, real-time monitoring of critical network paths and for troubleshooting issues with carrier performance and cloud-based services.

“We are thrilled to be adding PathView to our product portfolio, said John Woolford, managing director, Kenson.

Woolford said that wven with the most popular solutions in the market, many of the customers have held up new application deployments because they have persistent and difficult-to-identify network performance problems.

He said that with PathView, the customers can quickly resolve whatever network issues they have in a way that provides them new insight and information into the operational readiness of their networking infrastructures, be they physical or virtual.
