Health Connections Network Uses IXIASOFT's TEXTML Server as its XML Document Repository

IXIASOFT has announced that Health Connections Network, the north American Web-services network for workers comp, is using TEXTML server as its XML document repository to power its HCN Application Suite.

 

HCN builds and operates fully-integrated business and clinical process networks for the Work Comp/Occupational Medicine market. In addition to automating, the HCN networks orchestrate data sharing and clinical management of work comp cases via a thorough set of business rules.

 

“HCN selected TEXTML server as a central part of its architecture because of its proven track record to handling large volumes of documents and its quick delivery of content,” said Ken Meeker, vice president for operations at Health Connections Network.

 

He said that the company is “impressed” with IXIASOFT's XML database and how
”seamlessly” it handles a high volume of interaction from users – this was crucial in company’s selection process.

 

By using TEXTML Server at the heart of their application, HCN is able to provide customers a “fast” and “reliable” service. Additionally, TEXTML server offers HCN application advanced searching capabilities, enabling users to locate their content efficiently.

 

A native XML database and search engine, TEXTML Server is used to store, index and retrieve large volumes of XML content. According to IXIASOFT, it is an embeddable component which has been integrated into various content management applications.

 

Caroline Couvrette, vice president of sales and marketing at IXIASOFT, said that the company’s technology allows HCN to connect work comp employers, provider and payers and deliver the right information, “to the right people, at the right time.”
